Polo Club Filly 2010 Wine

This is a blend of 25 Shiraz, 15% Grenache noir, 13% Carignan, 13% Cinsaut and 34% Mourvèdre. With vineyards located in Wellington (Shiraz, Mourvedre and Cinsaut), Piekenierskloofmountains (Grenache noir) and Malmesbury (Carignan).

Vineyards from wide range of different terroirs, all ranging from cool climate sauvignon, to warm climate Chenin Blanc. Grapes usually picked optimally ripe in the early morning, so that all the natural flavours are preserved, and all unwanted micro-organisms are inactive.

Wine made from filtered lees, which ads body and mouth feel. That is why this wine isn’t the run through the mill light white. Alcohol removed by Reverse osmosis, where water is concentrated with alcohol from the wine. Light and fruity with fresh, crisp acidity! Gooseberry, guava, green apple flavours, light cedar aromas and toasty notes on nose are perceived once wine opens up. Lower sulphur means that you can have a bit more to drink without the added hangover effect.

Goes well with any tomato based dish, salad and fish.
